Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints. Massage therapy is a clinically-oriented healthcare option that helps alleviate the discomfort associated with every day occupational stresses, muscular over-use and many chronic pain conditions.

Massage therapy can be used as a treatment for both acute and chronic conditions. RMTs work with a wide variety of patients in the treatment of illness, injury rehabilitation and disability.

After graduating from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (BSc Kin) and earning my designation as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), I chose to deepen my understanding of the human body by attending the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy. It was there that I quickly discovered a passion for the world of rehabilitation.

With over six years of experience, I’ve developed a uniquely effective treatment approach that not only addresses the root cause of your pain or injury but also helps calm your nervous system in the process.

My background in strength and conditioning gives me a unique lens through which I understand the physical demands of sport and movement. This allows me to better assess athletic injuries, recognize the specific needs of active individuals, and provide highly targeted therapeutic exercises that support recovery and performance.

When you come in for treatment, you can expect a blend of clinical rehabilitation and holistic wellness. Each session begins with a thorough physical assessment and a personalized treatment plan—because I believe in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.

Since the nervous system plays a vital role in recovery, I create an environment that balances focused, goal-oriented therapy with a calming space to support healing on every level.

And your care doesn’t end when you leave the table. After each session, you’ll receive customized self-care stretches and exercises designed to help you integrate movement back into your daily life and support long-term, pain-free living.

I’m incredibly excited to be running my own clinical practice at Tiva: The Wellness Den, and I look forward to supporting you on your journey to healing.
